Tommy Kern broke a pair of program records at North Dakota State University's Bison Open last Saturday. He won the 400 meters with a time of 48.77 which bettered the previous school mark by 0.54 and won the event by 0.29. His finishing time is also the third-fastest in NCAA Division III this year. Kern then anchored the 4x400-meter relay team that ran a 3:19.15, bettering another program mark by 1.32 seconds. The Cobbers' time at NDSU is also the third-fastest in D-III this year.
