Maya Metcalf averaged 10.0 rebounds, 14.0 points, and 3.0 assists in three Cobber victories over the holiday break. Metcalf added six blocks and a steal on the defensive end to help Concordia improve to 10-1 on the year, giving the Cobbers their best start to a season since winning the NCAA Division III National Championship in 1988. After collecting six boards, two blocked shots, and a pair of steals in a win over Howard Payne on 12/28, Metcalf logged a season-high 15 rebounds to go along with another block in a two-point victory over Hardin-Simmons the following day. She then added nine boards, three blocks, and a steal in a decisive victory over St. Scholastica on 1/3 to hand the Saints their first loss of the season in conference play.
