Cassie Cunniff belted four home runs last week as the Knights wrapped up their time in Florida. After not going deep once during the 2020 and 2021 campaigns, she hit two home runs against Bates on 3/21 and added two more long balls against Middlebury on 3/25. This marked the first time in at least 19 seasons that a Carleton player had two 2-homer games in the same season, let alone in less than a week. Cunniff hit safely in 6-of-7 games, scored 11 runs, had eight RBI, and added two doubles, a triple, and six stolen bases. The Knights are now 12-3 to begin the season, tied for the best start in program history.
