BLOOMINGTON, Minn. -- The Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (MIAC) announced its Athlete of the Week award winners for swimming & diving on Tuesday. Student-athletes from Gustavus and St. Olaf claimed the Conference's weekly honors.
The MIAC Athlete of the Week awards are nominated by the Conference's sports information directors and selected by MIAC staff. Transitioning to the winter season, team sports (basketball and hockey) Athletes of the Week will be recognized on Monday afternoons, with individual sports (swimming & diving and indoor track & field) announced on Tuesday afternoons. The winners of the latest Athlete of the Week awards are listed below, along with details on their outstanding performances.

MIAC Men's Swimming Athlete of the Week

Logan Cyr won all four events he participated in to lead the Gusties to a dual win over St. Olaf on 11/16. Cyr took first in the 1,000 free in 10:31.20, won the 200 backstroke in 2:01.68, and claimed the 500 freestyle win as well, touching the wall in 4:57.28. He added a relay victory in the 200 freestyle relay to close things out for the day, with the Gusties taking first in 1:27.50, a time that ranks first in the MIAC this season.
MIAC Men's Diving Athlete of the Week
Ryan Lester

Ryan Lester took first in the 1- and 3-meter to help the Gusties to a victory over St. Olaf on 11/16. On the 1-meter, Lester posted a score of 229.90. On the 3-meter, Lester totaled 225.90, which ranks third in the conference this season.
MIAC Women's Swimming Athlete of the Week

Katie Homme finished in the top two in all three of her individual swims for the Oles in their dual at Gustavus on 11/16. Homme won the 100-yard freestyle (54.72) and the 500-yard freestyle (5:19.61) and was second in the 200-yard freestyle (1:59.57) while also swimming on the third-place 200-yard freestyle relay (1:42.49). Homme's time in the 100 free is the fastest in the MIAC this season, while her time in the 500 free is second.
MIAC Women's Diving Athlete of the Week

Gabriella Stoudt led the Gusties in their dual against St. Olaf on 11/16, taking first on both the 1- and 3-meter boards. Stoudt finished with a 247.50 on the 1-meter and a 241.35 on the 3-meter. Both scores rank second in the MIAC this season.
