BLOOMINGTON, Minn. -- The Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (MIAC) announced its Athlete of the Week award winners for swimming & diving on Tuesday. Student-athletes from Gustavus, Macalester, St. Catherine, and Saint John's claimed the Conference's weekly honors.
The MIAC Athlete of the Week awards are nominated by the Conference's sports information directors and selected by MIAC staff. Throughout the winter season, team sports (basketball and hockey) Athletes of the Week will be recognized on Monday afternoons, with individual sports (swimming & diving and indoor track & field) announced on Tuesday afternoons. The winners of the latest Athlete of the Week awards are listed below, along with details on their outstanding performances.

MIAC Men's Swimming Athlete of the Week

Peyton Richardson led the Gusties to victory at the annual Grace Goblirsch Invitational, collecting three individual wins and finishing second in two other races. Richardson won the 200 freestyle in 1:45.40, the 200 backstroke in 1:57.99, and the 100 butterfly in 50.87. He was also a part of the second-place 400 freestyle relay that finished in 3:11.96. He took second individually for the first time all year on 11/23, finishing the 400 IM in 4:20.55. His 100 fly time on 11/23 is the top mark in the MIAC this year.

Eli Grabinski swept both diving events, scoring 274.40 in the 1-meter competition and 277.30 on the 3-meter board, at the Grace Goblirsch Invitational on 11/23. The Johnnies placed second out of six teams at the meet.
MIAC Women's Swimming Athlete of the Week

Molly Nuckolls swam the 200-yard butterfly in 2:09.33 at the annual Phoenix Fall Classic in Chicago to break the Scots' program record in the event. Nuckolls set the record in the preliminary round and elected not to swim in the final. Nuckolls also made the B final in the 500-yard freestyle on 11/22 with a time of 5:14.84. She added a 1650-yard freestyle time of 18:01.83 on 11/24. All three times lead the MIAC this season.

Macey Morgan led the all Division III divers at the WildBear Invite in St. Paul by tallying scores 344.80 off the 1-meter board and 304.35 off the 3-meter. Morgan finished fourth overall in both events behind a trio of Division II divers.
