MIAC women's soccer players receive academic honors

BLOOMINGTON, Minn. -- Women's soccer players from the Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (MIAC) received academic honors from the United Soccer Coaches (USC) and College Sports Communicators (CSC) organizations.
 
Augsburg senior forward and MIAC Offensive Player of the Year Jayla Ponce was named to the CSC Academic All-America First Team for her combined excellence on the field and in the classroom. Ponce is the fifth MIAC women’s soccer player in history to receive First Team Academic All-America honors.
 
Sixty-one MIAC women's soccer players received CSC Academic All-District honors, and five were also named to the United Soccer Coaches Scholar All-Region Teams.
