BLOOMINGTON, Minn. – The Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (MIAC) Women's Tennis Playoffs will run through St. Peter for the first time since 2022, as Gustavus locked up the regular season championship and top seed in the conference tournament.
The Gusties (10-0) earned their 31st regular-season MIAC women's tennis title over the weekend, along with a bye to the semifinal round of the Playoffs. Regular season runner-up Carleton (9-1) also received a bye to the semifinals as the No. 2 seed in the field.

The 2025 MIAC Women's Tennis Playoffs will begin on Wednesday, April 30, when No. 3 Bethel (8-2) hosts No. 6 St. Scholastica (5-5) and No. 4 St. Olaf (7-3) welcomes No. 5 St. Catherine (6-4). Both matches are tentatively scheduled for 3:30 p.m. on the home courts of the high seeds unless weather moves competition indoors.
The top-seeded Gusties will welcome the lowest remaining seed to St. Peter on Friday, May 2, while No. 2 Carleton will host the higher seed in Northfield that afternoon. Both semifinal matches are tentatively set for 3:30 p.m. starts.
The playoff championship match is tentatively scheduled for 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 3, on the home court of the top remaining seed. However, in the event of a men's and women's championship doubleheader held at the same venue, the men's championship will be played at 11:30 a.m., followed by the women's championship at 3:30 p.m. All match dates, times, and locations are subject to change due to weather.
The tournament victor will receive the MIAC Playoff championship plaque and the Conference's automatic bid to the 2025 NCAA Division III Women's Tennis Tournament. Gustavus has won a MIAC-best eight playoff championships since 2007. Carleton is the three-time defending playoff champion with seven playoff titles overall, while St. Thomas snagged title wins in 2015 and 2021.
