MIAC cross country teams, athletes receive USTFCCCA academic honors

NEW ORLEANS – Nineteen cross country programs and 28 runners from the Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference received All-Academic honors from the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) for the 2025 season this week.

The men's and women's teams from Carleton, Concordia, Gustavus, Hamline, Macalester, St. Olaf, and St. Scholastica, along with the Saint John's men's team and Saint Benedict and Saint Mary's women's teams each received All-Academic Team distinction as a result of cumulative team GPAs of 3.1 or higher on a 4.0 scale.

Twenty women's runners and eight men's runners representing 12 different MIAC teams were also celebrated as All-Academic athletes. In order to qualify for All-Academic Athlete distinction, student-athletes must have a cumulative GPA of at least 3.30 on a 4.0 scale and finish in the top-25 percent of their respective regional championship meet.
