Schedule set for MIAC Women’s Basketball Playoffs

BLOOMINGTON, Minn. – The field is set for the 2026 Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (MIAC) Women's Basketball Playoffs.

Concordia (16-2) will be the No. 1 seed after winning its seventh regular-season MIAC title and the program's first since 2013. The Cobbers will have a bye to the semifinal round and host the lowest remaining seed in Moorhead on Thursday, February 26. Tip-off is scheduled for 7:00 p.m.

Gustavus (14-4) will also bypass the quarterfinals as the No. 2 seed in the conference tournament. The Gusties will host the highest remaining seed in the semifinal round on Thursday, February 26. Tip-off is tentatively scheduled for 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.

Bethel (14-4) secured the No. 3 seed and will host No. 6 St. Scholastica (11-7) in the quarterfinals on Tuesday, February 24. The two squads split their regular-season series, with each winning on their home courts. Tip-off for the quarterfinal contest is tentatively scheduled for 7:00 p.m.

Saint Mary's (13-5) will be the No. 4 seed and will host No. 5 Hamline (13-5). The two teams split their regular-season series; however, the Cardinals held the tiebreaker over the Pipers by virtue of their January win over top-seeded Concordia. Tip-off for the quarterfinal game is tentatively scheduled for 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, February 24.

Tuesday's two quarterfinal winners will advance to Thursday's semifinals, where No. 1 Concordia and No. 2 Gustavus will host. The bracket will re-seed following the first round, matching up the lowest remaining seed against the top-seeded Cobbers, while the Gusties will welcome the higher seed.

The semifinal winners will meet on Saturday, February 28, in the 2026 MIAC Women's Basketball Playoff championship game. The game is tentatively scheduled for 3:00 p.m. The MIAC Playoff champion will receive the postseason championship trophy and the Conference's automatic bid to the 2026 NCAA Division III Women's Basketball Tournament.

Tickets for the quarterfinal games will go on sale Saturday afternoon. Tickets for the semifinals will go on sale after the quarterfinals are complete on Tuesday night. All tickets will be sold and purchased online via HomeTown Ticketing. There will not be cash sales at any venue; however, spectators can purchase tickets using a mobile device, including while at the venue. Playoff tickets will go on sale after the regular season has concluded. General admission adult tickets are $12 (plus HTT service charge). Student (with ID) tickets are $3 (plus HTT service charge), and children ages five and under are admitted free.

The 2026 MIAC Women's Basketball Playoffs will be streamed live on the MIAC Sports Network in a pay-per-view format. Individual playoff contests will be streamed for $10 each, or $25 for a "championship pass" to stream the entire tournament live. On-demand access to playoff games will be available after the NCAA Tournament concludes.

Team champion apparel will be added and available for purchase shortly after the championship game.
