Women's Ice Hockey 2/21/2026 8:00:00 PM Field announced for MIAC Women’s Hockey Playoffs BLOOMINGTON, Minn. – The 2025-26 regular season is in the books for Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (MIAC) women's hockey teams, and the stage is set for next week's MIAC Women's Hockey Playoffs. For the second consecutive season, the conference tournament will run through Minneapolis, as Augsburg (15-2-1) secured its second straight regular-season crown and the top seed in the MIAC Playoffs. The Auggies will receive a bye to the quarterfinals before hosting the winner of the quarterfinal contest between No. 4 Gustavus and No. 5 Bethel on Saturday, February 28. Game time is scheduled for 4:00 p.m. Hamline (14-3-1) will be the No. 2 seed and host No. 3 Saint Benedict (9-6-3) in the semifinals on Saturday, February 28. The Pipers claimed four of the six points at stake in the regular-season series between the two squads. The puck is scheduled to drop at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 28, at TRIA Rink in St. Paul. Saint Benedict and Gustavus finished the regular season tied in the conference standings with 32 points apiece. The Bennies earned the tiebreaker over the Gusties by way of having more regulation wins (9) in conference play than the Gusties (8). The conference tournament will officially begin on Wednesday, February 25, with No. 4 Gustavus (10-6-2) hosting No. 5 Bethel (8-8-2) at 7:00 p.m. in St. Peter. The Gusties claimed five of a possible six points in the regular season series with wins in regulation and overtime against the Royals. The winner of the quarterfinal contest will advance on to face top-seeded Augsburg in the semifinals on Saturday. The semifinal winners will meet on Saturday, March 7, in the 2026 MIAC Women's Hockey Playoff championship game. The MIAC Playoff champion will receive the postseason championship trophy, the inaugural Jill Pohtilla Cup, and the Conference's automatic bid to the 2026 NCAA Division III Women's Hockey Tournament. Tickets for the quarterfinal game will go on sale Saturday night. Tickets for the semifinals will go on sale after the quarterfinals are complete on Wednesday night. All tickets will be sold and purchased online via HomeTown Ticketing. There will not be cash sales at any venue; however, spectators can purchase tickets using a mobile device, including while at the venue. Playoff tickets will go on sale after the regular season has concluded. General admission adult tickets are $12 (plus HTT service charge). Student (with ID) tickets are $3 (plus HTT service charge), and children ages five and under are admitted free. The 2026 MIAC Women's Hockey Playoffs will be streamed live on the MIAC Sports Network in a pay-per-view format. Individual playoff contests will be streamed for $10 each, or $25 for a "championship pass" to stream the entire tournament live.
