Four-team lineup set for MIAC Baseball Playoffs

BLOOMINGTON, Minn. – The Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (MIAC) Baseball Playoffs are set to take place May 7-9, 2026, at CHS Field in St. Paul, with regular season champion Bethel University opening postseason play as the No. 1 seed in the four-team field. The regular season title is the fourth in program history and the first for the Royals since 2022.

The four-team, double-elimination MIAC Baseball Playoffs will officially begin at CHS Field in St. Paul on Thursday, May 7, with No. 1 Bethel (17-3) taking on No. 4 Saint Mary's (12-8) at 2:30 p.m., followed by No. 2 Macalester (15-5) squaring off with No. 3 Saint John's (13-7) at 7:00 p.m.

The losing teams from Thursday's contests will face each other in an elimination game at 12:00 p.m. on Friday. Thursday's winners will square off at 3:00 on Friday with a spot in the championship game on the line. The winner of the noon game will then face the loser of the 3:00 p.m. game to determine the other contender for the playoff title. The second elimination game is set for 6:00 p.m. on Friday.

Saturday's MIAC Championship will begin at 3:00 p.m. If necessary, a second game will follow 25 minutes after the first to determine the double-elimination tournament winner. Sunday will serve as a rain date if needed. The champion will receive the MIAC's automatic bid to the 2026 NCAA Division III Baseball Tournament. All playoff game dates and times are tentative and may be adjusted in the event of inclement weather.

Tickets are required for each day of the MIAC Baseball Playoffs and are available for purchase now. Adult tickets are priced at $12.49, with student tickets at $9.20. MIAC pass holders and children ages five and under receive free entry.

No outside food, beverage, cans, bottles, chairs, or coolers may be brought into the ballpark. Additionally, alcohol and tobacco are strictly prohibited inside CHS Field for the MIAC Playoffs. Service animals are allowed inside the stadium; however, other pets must stay at home. Fans should review the list of prohibited items at CHS Field before traveling to the stadium. PAY-PER-VIEW
The 2026 MIAC Baseball Playoffs will be streamed live on the MIAC Sports Network in a pay-per-view format. Fans who are unable to attend the tournament may purchase a $12 "championship pass" to stream the entire MIAC Baseball Playoffs live. On-demand access to playoff games will be available after the NCAA Tournament concludes.

CHAMPIONSHIP APPAREL

The online MIAC Shop features officially licensed short-sleeve t-shirts, long-sleeves, and hooded sweatshirts to commemorate the 2026 playoff tournament. Team champion apparel will be added and available for purchase shortly after the championship game.
