Bethel crowned 2026 MIAC Men’s Outdoor Track & Field champs

NORTHFIELD, Minn. – For the third consecutive season, the Bethel Royals are men's outdoor track & field champions of the MIAC.
 
Bethel totaled 202.5 points over 22 events. St. Olaf placed second with 146 points, and Saint John's took third with 131 points.

The MIAC would like to thank St. Olaf College and Carleton College, their coaches, and staff for hosting the 2025 Outdoor Track & Field Championships and Multi-Event Championships.

RECORD BREAKERS
-Bethel sophomore Timmy Ball and St. Scholastica senior Trent Beseth each surpassed the previous facility mark in the discus. Ball's throw of 52.56 meters (172' 5") is the new Manitou Track record.
-Bethel senior Grant Nelson broke meet and facility records in the 400 meters with a time of 46.06.
-The Bethel 4x100 relay squad set a new facility record with a winning time of 40.74.
-Concordia senior Cooper Folkestad set a new facility record in the shot put with a throw of 18.23 meters (59' 9.75").
-Hamline sophomore Isaiah Watson broke the meet and facility records in the triple jump with a leap of 15.32 meters (50' 3.25").
-Saint John's senior Mitchell Degen rewrote the meet and facility records in the javelin with a throw of 68.87 meters (216' 1").
-Saint John's junior Cooper Smith set a new facility record in the 400-meter hurdles with a winning time of 52.75.
-The St. Olaf 4x800 relay squad broke the facility record in the event with a winning time of 7:40.85.
-Ole teammates Kevin Turlington and Gael Manzur Strandlund both surpassed the previous facility mark in the 10,000-meter run. Turlington set a new Manitou Track record with his winning time of 30:59.28.
-In the 5K, Saint John's junior Cole Stencel, St. Olaf senior Kevin Turlington, and St. Olaf sophomore Garrett Seppanen all beat the previous facility record. Stencel now holds the top Manitou Track mark at 14:27.19.
