FARMINGTON, Minn. -- The Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (MIAC) announced its Athlete of the Week award winners for football, volleyball, soccer, and tennis on Monday. Student-athletes from Augsburg, Bethel, Carleton, Concordia, Gustavus, Macalester, Saint John's, St. Olaf, and St. Scholastica claimed the Conference's weekly honors.
The MIAC Athlete of the Week awards are nominated by the Conference's sports information directors and selected by MIAC staff. Throughout the fall season, team sports (football, soccer, and volleyball) Athletes of the Week will be recognized on Monday afternoons, with individual sports (cross country and golf) announced on Tuesday afternoons. The winners of the latest Athlete of the Week awards are listed below, along with details on their outstanding performances.

MIAC Football Offensive Player of the Week

Trey Feeney completed 29 of 34 passes for 302 yards and six touchdowns in the Johnnies' victory over Hamline on 9/19. The six-touchdown performance was the third of his SJU career and moved him into eighth on the program's all-time list with 49 career passing touchdowns. It was also Feeney's sixth 300-yard passing game, breaking a tie for sole possession of fifth-most in program history.
MIAC Football Defensive Player of the Week

Kyle Mages collected five tackles (four solo), one sack, and intercepted a pair of passes in the Cobbers' shutout victory over St. Olaf on 9/12. Mages helped Concordia hold the Oles to 84 total yards in the rivalry game to win the Lefse Bowl and reclaim the Troll Trophy.

Tyler Dimond racked up 186 all-purpose yards and accounted for four touchdowns - including the dramatic game-winning score - in the Knights' 48-45 Book of Knowledge win over Macalester on 9/19. Dimond got Carleton on the board first by tossing a 40-yard touchdown pass off a handoff just two plays into the game. After Macalester answered back, Dimond returned the ensuing kickoff 83 yards for a touchdown. The senior wideout showed off his arm talent again in the third quarter with a second trick-play touchdown pass to give the Knights a two-score advantage in the second half, before hauling in the game-winning score with 20 seconds to play on a four-yard catch in the corner of the end zone. The touchdown reception was the 28th of Dimond's career, moving him into a tie for second in Carleton history.
MIAC Volleyball Offensive Player of the Week

Grace Bathurst hit .377 and accounted for 62.0 points in a 4-1 week for the Royals. Bathurst tallied double-digit kills in three of her five matches, including 17 on 31 swings in a five-set victory over Carleton on 9/18. Bathurst hit north of .400 in three matches and posted a hitting percentage of .600 with 10 kills in a sweep of Bethany Lutheran on 9/19. She also registered 13 total blocks for the week.
MIAC Volleyball Specialty Player of the Week
Michaela Dooley

Plymouth, Minn. / Benilde-St. Margaret's
Michaela Dooley recorded 68 digs (4.86 per set), 13 assists, and three aces in four matches for the nationally ranked Oles at the Mabel Lee Invite on 9/18-19. Dooley racked up double-digit digs in all four matches, including 25 in a five-set loss to Dubuque on 9/18. She was aced only once in 49 reception attempts.

Parker Chastey

Parker Chastey factored into both goals of the Saints' 2-1 win over Carleton on 9/15. After assisting on St. Scholastica's first score in the 50th minute of play, Chastey tallied the game-winning goal on a penalty kick with one second remaining in regulation to give the Saints their first victory over Carleton in men's soccer since 2014.

Jackson Baker made seven saves in a 2-0 shutout victory against nationally-ranked Saint John's on 9/19. SJU had entered the game undefeated and with the No. 1 scoring offense in the nation, averaging nearly five goals scored per game. It was Baker's second shutout in his last three appearances.

McKenna Nachreiner

McKenna Nachreiner played a role in all five of the Auggies' goals in a 1-0-1 week. Nachreiner claimed the second hat trick of her career in a 3-2 win over Saint Mary's on 9/16 before assisting on a goal and picking up the game-tying tally in a 2-2 draw at Hamline on 9/19. Two of Nachreiner's three goals against the Cardinals came in the final eight minutes of play.
MIAC Women's Soccer Defensive Player of the Week
Maya Lacey

Maya Lacey played all 180 minutes on the defensive line to help the Knights earn a pair of conference shutouts last week. Lacey anchored a backline that permitted only two shots in a 4-0 win at St. Scholastica on 9/16 before stifling defending MIAC regular-season champion St. Catherine on 9/19, holding the Wildcats to six shots overall and only two on goal in a 2-0 win.
MIAC Men's Tennis Player of the Week

Charles Flaman picked up three points at the top of the Scots' lineup over the weekend, defeating Wartburg 6-3, 6-2 at No. 1 singles on 9/19 and UW-Superior 6-0, 6-1 on 9/20. Flaman was also part of a 6-2 win at No. 1 doubles against UW-Superior. The results improved his season record to 4-0 at No. 1 singles and 3-1 at No. 1 doubles.
MIAC Women's Tennis Player of the Week

Karina Elvestrom won the No. 1 singles draw at the Gustavus Fall Invite on 9/19-20, going 3-0 against NCAA Division II and III opponents. Elvestrom won her opening match, 8-1, and took the semifinal bout, 6-3, 6-0, before earning a 6-4, 6-2 victory in the championship round. She and teammate Rory Wahlstrand also claimed the doubles draw championship with victories of 6-0, 6-4, and 7-5 in wins over Jamestown and Minnesota State.
