Student-athletes from Bethel, Carleton, Concordia, and Macalester claimed the Conference's weekly honors. The MIAC Athlete of the Week awards are nominated by the Conference's sports information directors and selected by MIAC staff. Throughout the fall season, team sports (football, soccer, and volleyball) Athletes of the Week will be recognized on Monday afternoons, with individual sports (cross country and golf) announced on Tuesday afternoons. The winners of the latest Athlete of the Week awards are listed below, along with details on their outstanding performances. The MIAC Athlete of the Week archive has complete details on each week's selections and winners. MIAC Men's Golf Athlete of the Week Zeke Roberts Bethel University So. Lake Elmo, Minn. Zeke Roberts helped the Royals win the team title at the Saint John's Fall Invitational on 9/26-27 with a two-round score of 143 (71-72, -1) at the St. Cloud Country Club and Blackberry Ridge. His score placed him in a three-way tie for medalist honors at the event. Roberts shot 4-under par on the par-5s and finished the meet with nine total birdies, tied for second in the 87-player field. MIAC Men's Golf Athlete of the Week Sam Higaki Carleton College Sr. San Mateo, Calif. / Aragon Sam Higaki tied for medalist honors at the Saint John's Fall Invitational at the St. Cloud Country Club and Blackberry Ridge on 9/26-27 with a 36-hole score of 143 (72-71, -1). Higaki was 1-under par on the par-3s and 3-under par on the par-5s throughout the tournament. Higaki is now a two-time medalist at the SJU Fall Invite, having also won in 2025. MIAC Men's Golf Athlete of the Week Jack Hanson Concordia College Sr. Apple Valley, Minn. / Eastview Jack Hanson earned medalist honors for the second time in his collegiate career with a 1-under par 143 (70-73) to tie for medalist honors at the Saint John's Fall Invitational at the St. Cloud Country Club and Blackberry Ridge on 9/26-27. Hanson's 36-hole score was the lowest of his collegiate career. Hanson carded nine birdies over two rounds, tied for the second-most in the 87-player field, and led all golfers with a 3-under par tally on par-3 holes. MIAC Women's Golf Athlete of the Week Marley Zhang Macalester College Fy. Hebei, China / Shanghai Hongqiao International School Marley Zhang shot back-to-back rounds of 71 (142, -2) to win the September Showdown at Oneka Ridge and Faribault Golf Club on 9/26-27. Zhang claimed medalist honors with a three-shot margin of victory and set a new 36-hole program record in the process. Her two-round score of 142 is tied for the fifth-lowest 36-hole tally in recorded MIAC women's golf history.
