MIAC Volleyball Playoff Seeding Tie Breakers
In case of multiple team ties, the teams shall be ranked using the following criteria:
(a) match record percentage during matches between all tied teams;
(b) game record percentage during matches between all tied teams;
(c) point spread during matches between all tied teams;
(d) game record percentage during a conference play;
(e) point spread during all conference play;
(f) flip of the coin.
These criteria shall be used in order, even if a tie is partially resolved at a level. Results of all partially resolved ties should be retained and carried forward to all subsequent levels to resolve those ties. Continue to use the results from matches between all originally tied teams for levels b) and c) even if a tie is partially resolved at a prior level.
