KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) has recognized seven men's basketball teams from the Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (MIAC) and 28 student-athletes from the league for excellence in the classroom.

Among the institutions honored with Team Academic Excellence awards were Augsburg University, Carleton CollegeConcordia College, Hamline University, Saint John's University, Saint Mary's University, and the University of St. Thomas. Team Academic Excellence Awards honor outstanding academic achievement by a team with a cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 3.0 or better during the 2018-19 season. In order to earn the NABC Team Academic Excellence Award, institutions in the NCAA, NAIA and NJCAA must count the GPA of all men's student-athletes who competed during the 2018-19 season. The full list of this year's NABC Team Academic Excellence honorees can be found here.
