WINONA, Minn. — On Thursday, April 18, head men's hockey coach Bill Moore stepped down after leading the Cardinals for 12 years, as announced by Saint Mary's University's Athletic Director Brian Sisson.
"I'd like to thank Bill for his commitment and dedication to serving our Cardinal student-athletes these past 12 years," said Sisson.
During his tenure, Moore led the team to 104 victories, and he guided the program to three appearances in the MIAC Playoffs (2014-15, 2016-17, and 2018-19). Saint Mary's also advanced to the MIAC conference tournament title game in 2014-15, and Moore was named MIAC Coach of the Year after a 15-10-2 overall record which was good for second in the regular season conference standings that year.
"I have enjoyed my time at Saint Mary's, and it's been my honor to coach a great group of players throughout the years," Moore said.
Saint Mary's will begin a national search for his successor immediately.
