For over 30 years, Vanessa Seljeskog impacted the lives of countless student-athletes as an administrator and coach at Macalester. She coached the women's cross country and track & field teams from 1986 to 2000, mentoring several MIAC champions and All-Americans along the way. Her track & field athletes qualified for the NCAA national meets 30 times while winning five individual national championships. In cross country, the Scots qualified for the national meet as a team three times, with the 1999 squad placing eighth nationally. Seljeskog served as an Assistant Athletics Director for 10 years and as Associate Athletics Director for 16 years, overseeing NCAA compliance, club sports programming and physical education curriculum, among other areas. During her time at Macalester, she assisted in the planning of the $45 million Leonard Center, oversaw the $1.5 million renovation of the track complex, and has organized and managed numerous MIAC championships and NCAA postseason events. Upon her retirement in 2017, Seljeskog was honored by the MIAC with the MIAC Distinguished Service Award.

Leo Pearce was an outstanding diver for the Macalester swimming & diving team during the late 1980s and early 1990s. An All-MIAC honoree in each of his four years as a Scot, he also qualified for the NCAA Division III Diving Championships as a junior and senior. Pearce, who held all of Macalester's diving records for 30 years, still holds the school records for an 11-dive score on the 1- and 3-meter boards. During his time at Macalester, he was a member of the soccer and baseball teams while participating in club volleyball.

Armin Heuberger still ranks among the top offensive players in Macalester's stellar men's soccer history. A three-time All-MIAC midfielder, he totaled 42 goals and 24 assists for 108 points to rank third in goals and points and fourth in assists on the Scots' all-time scoring lists. In his junior season, Heuberger scored 12 goals and had 30 points to lead Macalester to a 14-0-4 record, a MIAC title and a berth in the NCAA Tournament. The following year, he helped the Scots repeat as MIAC champions while contributing 14 goals and 32 points. That year Heuberger was named an All-American, as Macalester advanced to the quarterfinals of the NCAA Tournament with three victories. Also a two-time All-Region honoree and team captain, Heuberger played on three NCAA Tournament teams at Macalester.

Grace King was a high-scoring forward on the women's soccer team from 2005 to 2008, compiling 30 goals and 19 assists for 79 points. She currently ranks eighth in goals and points and 10th in assists despite missing her senior season due to injury. A two-time All-MIAC and All-Region honoree, King started her career with 12 goals and 31 points as a first year to help Macalester post a 20-0-2 record, capture MIAC regular-season and playoff titles and advance to the second round of the NCAA Tournament. After a seven-goal, 17-point campaign in 2006, she registered 11 goals and nine assists for 31 points as a junior, earning All-American honors and MIAC Player of the Year accolades. That year King also was selected Macalester's M Club Women's Team Athlete of the Year.

Sona Muzikarova came to Macalester from Bratislava, Slovakia in 2005 and made an immediate impact on the Scots' volleyball team. In her first year she led the Scots and ranked second in the MIAC in hitting percentage as an outside hitter and was named the MIAC and Central Region Freshman of the Year. As a sophomore, Muzikarova paced Macalester with 323 kills, including 216 kills against MIAC competition to rank second in the conference and earn All-MIAC honors. After studying abroad as a junior, she returned to the court and picked up where she left off, leading the team again in kills and aces en route to being named the Scots' MVP. Currently, Muzikarova ranks eighth on Macalester's all-time list for kills with 896 in 75 career matches.

Sarah C. Ellerton starred for the water polo team during her four years at Macalester and still holds the program's all-time record for goals in a career with 295. She burst onto the scene in 2007 with 92 goals, then a school record, and received All-American honorable mention to go with All-Region honors. After repeating on the All-Region team as a sophomore, Ellerton was named the 2009 Co-Midwest Region Player of the Year along with teammate Sophia Shaw '09. As a senior in 2010, she topped her own school record with 96 goals and set the standard for steals with 111, two records that still stand today. That year Ellerton received All-American honorable mention for the second time in her career while earning All-Region and All-Conference (CWPA) accolades. Also a member of the swimming & diving teams, she swam on the Scots' school-record relay teams in the 200- and 400-yard freestyle relays while also serving as team captain.
