News & Links 12/1/2025 1:00:00 PM MIAC Athletes of the Week - December 1, 2025 BLOOMINGTON, Minn. -- The Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (MIAC) announced its Athlete of the Week award winners for basketball and hockey on Monday. Student-athletes from Carleton, Gustavus, Hamline, Macalester, Saint Benedict, Saint Mary's, and St. Olaf claimed the Conference's weekly honors. The MIAC Athlete of the Week awards are nominated by the Conference's sports information directors and selected by MIAC staff. Throughout the winter season, team sports (basketball and hockey) Athletes of the Week will be recognized on Monday afternoons, with individual sports (swimming & diving) announced on Tuesday afternoons. MIAC Men's Basketball Offensive Player of the Week Noah Hamburge Macalester College Fy. | Guard Minneapolis, Minn. / Minnehaha Academy Noah Hamburge had a career night to lead the Scots to an 88-81 victory at UW-River Falls on 11/25. Hamburge drained five of his six attempts from three-point range and was 7-of-10 from the field overall en route to a career-best 20 points in 23 minutes off the bench. He also added a pair of steals in the win. MIAC Men's Basketball Defensive Player of the Week Brendan Ebel Hamline University Sr. | Guard Farmington, Minn. / Farmington Brendan Ebel came away with a season-best four steals in the Pipers' 85-68 win over UW-Stout on 11/25. It was his fourth multi-steal game in his last five contests. Ebel also pulled down four rebounds while holding the Blue Devils' leading scorer - who entered the contest averaging 17.5 points per game - to just six points from the field. MIAC Women's Basketball Offensive Player of the Week Addy Huss Carleton College So. | Guard Portland, Ore. / Cleveland Addy Huss tallied a game-high 28 points and scored all 12 fourth-quarter points for the Knights, including a go-ahead 3-pointer with 21 seconds left as Carleton erased a late deficit for a 68-67 win at Buena Vista on 11/25. Huss, who eclipsed the 20-point plateau for the third consecutive game, was 12-of-20 from the floor and 3-for-3 from beyond the arc. MIAC Women's Basketball Defensive Player of the Week Kali Olson Saint Mary's University Jr. | Forward New York Mills, Minn. / New York Mills Kali Olson powered the Cardinals to two wins over Thanksgiving week, delivering double-doubles in both victories. Olson opened the stretch with 14 rebounds and 10 points in a 77-49 win over Grinnell on 11/29, with two blocks and two steals on her stat line. Olson followed that with a 15-point, 14-rebound double-double in a 76-70 win against Simpson on 11/30, adding three steals, two blocks, and an assist in each game, while shooting .500 from the field for the week. MIAC Men's Hockey Offensive Player of the Week Nicholas Sewecke St. Olaf College So. | Forward Sewickley, Pa. / North Catholic Nicholas Sewecke had a five-point weekend with two goals and three assists to lead the Oles to a road sweep of Lake Forest on Thanksgiving weekend. The sophomore scored a pair of third-period goals and added an assist in a 7-4 win on 11/29 before picking up a pair of helpers in a 3-2 victory on 11/30. MIAC Men's Hockey Defensive Player of the Week Colin Androlewicz Gustavus Adolphus College So. | Goaltender Fenton, Mo. / New Hampton School Colin Androlewicz posted a season-high 25 saves in 65 minutes of the Gusties' 1-1 draw at Colby on 11/30. Androlewicz allowed one goal in regulation and shutout the Mules in overtime before helping the Gusties to a 2-1 shootout triumph. MIAC Women's Hockey Offensive Player of the Week Presley Kraemer College of Saint Benedict Sr. | Defender Brooklyn Park, Minn. / Osseo Presley Kraemer recorded the first hat trick of her collegiate career in a 6-1 road victory over Lake Forest on 11/30. The hat trick was the first by a Bennie this season and brought Kramer's collegiate goal total to 15. MIAC Women's Hockey Defensive Player of the Week Lily Timmons Gustavus Adolphus College So. | Goaltender Lake Elmo, Minn. / Stillwater Lily Timmons kept the nationally-ranked Blugolds from scoring in the Gusties' 1-0 overtime victory against UW-Eau Claire on 11/25. Timmons made a season-high 30 saves in her first shutout of the year.
