MINNEAPOLIS – For the second consecutive season and 12th time in program history, the Golden Gusties of Gustavus Adolphus College are women's swimming & diving champions of the Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (MIAC). Gustavus scored 699 points over the four-day MIAC Championship meet, edging out Macalester by 20 points for the conference crown.
Individual champions on Saturday included Gustavus' Geneva Fackler (1650 Free, 17:41.81), St. Olaf's Olivia Small (200 Back, 2:03.78), St. Olaf's Katie Homme (100 Free, 52.23), Macalester's Izzy Uhlhorn-Thornton (200 Breast 2:20.83), St. Olaf's Paige Steenblock (200 Fly, 2:08.39), and Carleton's Nina Schwab - who set a championship meet record in the women's 1-meter diving competition with a score of 475.40. Macalester claimed the final win of the evening with a time of 3:33.26 in the 400 free relay.

HANDING OUT THE HARDWARE
Following each of Saturday evening's competitions, a short awards ceremony was held to recognize the top eight finishers. The top three finishers in each event earned All-Conference honors, while individual finishers 4-6 and the fourth-place relay team earned honorable mention distinction.
The 2024-25 individual award honorees were also announced.
