Gustavus wins 2026 MIAC Women's Swimming & Diving Championship

MINNEAPOLIS – For the third consecutive season and 13th time in program history, the Golden Gusties of Gustavus Adolphus College are women's swimming & diving champions of the Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (MIAC). Gustavus scored 788 points over the four-day MIAC Championship meet to complete the sixth three-peat in MIAC Women's Swimming & Diving history.

Among Saturday's individual highlights was Haley Zelen's performance in the 100 free. The Saint Benedict junior met a 2025 NCAA Invite time with a 50.99 to win the individual conference championship in the event. In addition to Zelen's speed was Izzy Uhlhorn-Thornton's consistency. The Macalester senior swept the women's breaststroke events for the third consecutive season, punctuating her collegiate career with a win in the 200 breaststroke on Saturday night.

AWARDS & HONORS
Following each of Saturday evening's competitions, a short awards ceremony was held to recognize the top eight finishers. The top three finishers in each event earned All-Conference honors, while individual finishers 4-6 and the fourth-place relay team earned honorable mention distinction.

The 2025-26 individual award honorees were also announced.
