ST. PETER, Minn. – Gustavus Adolphus College defeated Carleton College by a margin of 4-0 on Saturday to claim the Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (MIAC) Men's Tennis Playoff Championship and an automatic berth in the 2025 NCAA Division III Tournament. The postseason title is the 14th straight and 17th overall for the Gusties, who will move on to the national tournament for the 37th time in program history.

The Gusties claimed victory in two of the three doubles matches to take the first point of the day. Marco Siviero and Dominik Knutson won, 6-2, at No. 2 doubles, while Taona Mhwandagara and Josh Christensen won, 6-4, at the third spot, finishing their bout at the same time that Carleton's Akshay Garapati and Jack Rivkin registered a 7-5 win at the top doubles spot.
In singles action, Knutson picked up the Gusties' second point with a 6-4, 6-0 win at the No. 3 spot in just under an hour. Gage Gohl then collected a 6-1, 6-2 win at No. 1 singles before Tyler Haddorff secured the match and playoff title with a 6-4, 6-0 victory at the No. 5 spot.
Following Saturday's match, Gustavus was presented with its MIAC Playoff championship plaque. The Gusties also received the Conference's automatic bid to the 2025 NCAA Division III Men's Tennis Tournament. Carleton will now wait to see if the Knights will earn an at-large bid to the Tournament, or if any individual participants will be selected.
