St. Olaf's Isabel Wyatt named CSC Academic All-American

AUSTIN, Texas – Rising senior Isabel Wyatt became the second student-athlete in the history of the St. Olaf College women's cross country and track and field programs to earn College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-America ® honors, as the 2024-25 Women's Academic All-America ® Track & Field/Cross Country Teams were announced on Tuesday.

One of 46 NCAA Division III student-athletes to be recognized with the accolade, Wyatt landed on the third team to join two-time honoree Megan (Daymont) Thomas '03 (2002, 2003) as the only CSC Academic All-Americans in women's track and field/cross country for St. Olaf. Tuesday's announcement made Wyatt the third Ole to be named a CSC Academic All-American during the 2024-25 academic year and the 17th Ole to account for St. Olaf's 23 Academic All-America ® accolades.

As a junior, Wyatt was a standout in both cross country and track and field for St. Olaf and was named the 2024-25 St. Olaf Co-Female Athlete of the Year along with teammate Alison Bode '25. During the indoor season, Wyatt pocketed her first U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) All-America accolade with a ninth-place finish in the 800-meter run. She also won Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (MIAC) individual titles in the 800-meter run and 1,000-meter run, leading to MIAC Women's Indoor Track Co-Athlete of the Year honors. Wyatt set the all-time MIAC record in the 1,000-meter run (2:51.13) at the MIAC Indoor Track & Field Championships, which was one of four school records she posted during the 2024-25 track and field season.

Outdoors, Wyatt was the MIAC champion in the 800-meter run, giving her three individual conference championships in 2024-25. She also ran on St. Olaf's All-MIAC 4x400-meter relay during the indoor season. In addition to the all-time MIAC record in the indoor 1,000-meter run, Wyatt broke the school records in the indoor 600-meter run (1:33.22), indoor 800-meter run (2:11.33), and outdoor 800-meter run (2:09.44). She was also an outdoor national qualifier in the 800-meter run, finishing 19th.

In the fall, Wyatt picked up All-MIAC honors with a 10th-place finish at the conference meet and ran to USTFCCCA All-North Region honors with a 34th-place regional finish. She went on to place 194th at the NCAA Division III Cross Country Championships. All told, Wyatt obtained four USTFCCCA All-North Region accolades in 2024-25, one in cross country, one in the indoor track (800-meter run), and two in outdoor track (800-meter run, 1,500-meter run).

A quantitative economics major with a 3.98 cumulative grade-point average, Wyatt was an Academic All-MIAC honoree in both cross country and track and field. She secured USTFCCCA All-Academic honors in cross country and will do so again when the track and field awards are announced. A two-time CSC Academic All-District ® honoree, Wyatt was inducted into Chi Alpha Sigma – the national college student-athlete honor society – in March.
