ATLANTA – Three Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (MIAC) women's basketball programs were honored among the 2024-25 Women's Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA) Academic Top 25 Team Honor Rolls this week.
The College of Saint Benedict, coached by Mike Durbin, had the 17th-highest team GPA in Division III last season at 3.749, while Gustavus Adolphus College, coached by Laurie Kelly, ranked 21st with a GPA of 3.729. St. Olaf College, coached by Megan Lueck, earned special mention with a team GPA of 3.713, as did Concordia College, coached by Kim Wagers, with a GPA of 3.679, St. Catherine University, coached by Don Mulhern, with a GPA of 3.660, The College of St. Scholastica, coached by Jason Schmitz, with a GPA of 3.594, and Carleton College, coached by Tammy Metcalf-Filzen, with a GPA of 3.549.
Colorado College led NCAA Division III with a cumulative team GPA of 3.864.
The WBCA Academic Top 25 recognizes NCAA Division I, II, and III, NAIA, and two-year college women's basketball teams across the nation that carry the highest combined GPAs inclusive of all student-athletes on their rosters for the entire season. The 2024-25 season is the 30th in which the WBCA has compiled the honor rolls.
