MOORHEAD, Minn. (7/17/25) -- Former Concordia all-time hits leader Thomas Horan (Moorhead, Minn.) signed a professional contract with the F-M RedHawks of the American Association of Independent Professional Baseball League on Saturday, Aug. 16 and played in the team's final two games of the series against the Cleburne Railroaders.
Horan becomes the fourth Cobber player in the last six years to sign a professional contract with the RedHawks.
He follows pitchers Austin Ver Steeg, Cole Christensen and outfielder Andy Gravdahl, who played for the RedHawks in the 2023 season. Ver Steeg went 3-3 and had a 5.46 ERA in 62.2 innings pitched in 2021, while Christensen appeared in three games over the course of two seasons and Gravdahl appeared in eight games and had three hits with four RBI.
Horan, who was a 3-time All-MIAC shortstop, started at second base for the RedHawks on Saturday and hit in the No.9 spot in the batting order.
Horan played in 38 games for the Cobbers in 2025 and hit .338. He led the team in slugging percentage (.484), RBI (35), total bases (61) and stolen bases (14).
Horan finished his Cobber career with a .327 average. He recorded 208 hits and 139 RBI, both of which are program records. Horan played in 184 games, clouted 11 home runs, had an on-base percentage of .424 and a slugging percentage of .462.
