BROOKLYN PARK, Minn. – After 18 holes of play, Concordia holds a one-shot lead at the 2025 Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (MIAC) Men's Golf Championships with a first-round total of 300 (+12).
Only ten shots separate the top seven squads in the team standings, with the Cobbers in first place at +12, Bethel and Gustavus tied for second at +13, Carleton and St. Olaf tied for fourth at +15, and Saint John's and Macalester not far off the pace at +18 and +22, respectively. Macalester, St. Scholastica (+36), and Augsburg (+40) will lead off the second round action at 10:27 a.m. on Sunday.
On the individual leaderboard, Gustavus senior Wyatt Carlson posted the lone under-par score of the first round by carding a 71 (-1), thanks to seven birdies and six pars. Fellow Gustie senior Chris Gutuza and Concordia junior Ryan Engel are tied for second place with 1-over par 73s after 18 holes. Five players shot 74 (+2) and another five carded 75 (+3) on the first day of the conference tournament.
ROUND 2 TEES OFF SUNDAY
The three-day, 54-hole MIAC Men's Golf Championships continue Sunday at Edinburgh Golf Course with the first tee time set for 10:27 a.m. Spectators are welcome to attend the 2025 MIAC Golf Championships at the Edinburgh Golf Course and must follow all local and spectator rules. Please be advised that there will be no spectator carts available for use at Edinburgh.

The 2025 MIAC Championships will conclude on Monday with the tournament's winner earning the conference's automatic bid to the 2026 NCAA Division III Golf Championships. The top 10 individual finishers will be named to the MIAC All-Championship team and automatically qualify for the 2025-26 All-Conference squad.
