BLOOMINGTON, Minn. - Midway through the Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (MIAC) men's hockey schedule, Gustavus sits atop the league standings with a 6-2-0 record and 16 points in the conference standings.

NATIONAL NOTABLES
Augsburg first-year forward Nolan Nenow (Jamestown, N.D. / Jamestown) is averaging 0.73 goals per game this season, tied for the tenth-highest average in NCAA Division III.

Augsburg junior forward Landon Parker (East Grand Forks, N.D. / East Grand Forks) recorded four assists against Beloit on 11/12, tied for the most in any D-III game this season.

Augsburg sophomore forward Conner Schneider (Sun Prairie, Wis. / Shattuck-St. Mary's) is averaging 1.07 assists per game this season, good for the sixth-highest average in NCAA Division III.

Bethel senior forward Tyler Braccini (Hanover, Minn. / Buffalo) is tied for eighth in NCAA Division III with an average of 0.77 goals per game this season.

Concordia senior forward Caden Triggs (Moorhead, Minn. / Moorhead) is one of six players in NCAA Division III with multiple short-handed goals this season. Triggs is tied for first in D-III with two short-handed goals.

Concordia first-year goaltender Noel Olsonawski (Moorhead, Minn. / Fargo Shanley) ranks fifth in NCAA Division III this season with a save percentage of 0.944. Olsonawski ranks seventh in NCAA Division III with a goals-against average of 1.70 this season.

Saint John's junior forward Logan Lyke (Medina, Minn.) is tied for the third-most game-winning goals in NCAA Division III this season with three.

Saint Mary's sophomore forward Joona Juntunen (Hyvinkää, Finland) leads all levels of NCAA men's hockey with an average of 1.08 goals per game this season. Juntunen is also the only NCAA men's hockey player averaging 2.00 points per game or more. His nine power-play goals this year lead all levels of NCAA men's hockey.

St. Olaf sophomore goaltender Matthew Malin (Castle Rock, Colo.) leads all of NCAA men's hockey with a save percentage of 0.954 this season. Malin ranks eighth in NCAA Division III with a goals-against average of 1.71 this season. Malin recorded 56 saves against Saint John's on 11/22/25, tied for the seventh-most in any D-III game this season.


AROUND THE MIAC
Augsburg first-year forward Nolan Nenow (Jamestown, N.D. / Jamestown) enjoyed a seven-point weekend with five goals and two assists, to lead the Auggies to a sweep of Lake Forest in a nonconference series on 1/2-3. Nenow collected his first collegiate hat trick on 1/2, scoring a goal in the second period and two goals in the third period of the Auggies' 8-4 victory. On 1/3, Nenow scored power-play and shorthanded goals, and assisted on two other tallies, in the Auggies' 10-2 victory.

Bethel senior forward Tyler Braccini (Hanover, Minn. / Buffalo) tallied a goal and an assist in the Royals' 5-3 win over UW-River Falls on 1/9. Braccini recorded a +3 for the game.

Concordia first-year forward Kaleb Pitman (Alexandria, Minn. / Alexandria) scored a pair of goals in the Cobbers' 6-5 overtime win over nationally-ranked UW-Stout on 1/10. Pitman scored the opening goal of the game and also added the Cobbers' fourth strike of the contest.

Gustavus senior forward Wilmer Svensson (Stockholm, Sweden / Kunskapsgymnasiet) scored twice in the Gusties' 5-4 overtime win against Saint Mary's on 1/9, scoring a go-ahead, power-play goal in the second period before punching in the game-winner 65 seconds into the extra frame. It was his second game-winning goal in overtime this season. Svensson also contributed an assist in the Gusties' 5-3 series-sweeping victory over the Cardinals on 1/10.

Hamline junior forward AJ Carls (Coon Rapids, Minn.) scored the Pipers' lone goal in a loss to St. Olaf on 1/10. Carls has been the lone goal-scorer in three of the five games in which he has scored this season.

Saint John's senior goaltender Jon Howe (Chanhassen, Minn.) made 86 saves to lead the Johnnies to a sweep of nationally-ranked Trine on 1/2-3. Howe posted a save percentage of .956 with four goals allowed in the series. Two of the four goals came on power plays. Howe's save percentage of .933 on the season ranks second among all NCAA Division III goaltenders with at least 300 saves, while his goals-against average of 2.45 is eighth in the nation among D-III goalies with at least 600 minutes played.

Saint Mary's sophomore forward Joona Juntunen (Hyvinkää, Finland) recorded four goals and two assists in the Cardinals' series with Gustavus on 1/9-10. Juntunen scored twice and assisted once in both games. He has scored two goals in three of his last four games and at least one goal in six of his last seven contests.

St. Olaf first-year goaltender Ryan Nolan (Hampton, N.H. / Holderness School) stopped 29-of-30 shots for a save percentage of .967 in the Oles' win over Hamline on 1/10. Nolan recorded at least nine saves in each period of the 9-1 victory.

St. Scholastica first-year forward Andrew Cumming (St. Cloud, Minn. / St. Cloud) tallied a goal and an assist in the Saints' 4-3 loss to Lawrence on 1/3. It was the first multi-point game of his collegiate career.
