BLOOMINGTON, Minn. - Another busy weekend awaits Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (MIAC) track & field teams ahead of the 2026 MIAC Indoor Track & Field Championships at Carleton College in Northfield later this month.
CHAMPIONSHIP TICKETS
All tickets for the 2026 MIAC Indoor Track & Field Championships will be sold and purchased online via HomeTown Ticketing. There will not be cash sales at the venue; however, spectators can purchase tickets using a mobile device at any time, including while at the venue. No ticket will be required for the afternoon multi-event competitions on Thursday, February 26. Tickets will be required for full competition days on Friday and Saturday.
Tickets will go on sale in mid-February on the MIAC's HomeTown Ticketing site.
NATIONAL NOTABLES
Bethel senior Landen Liu (Blaine, Minn. / Centennial) ranks 14th in NCAA Division III this season with a time of 6.81 in the men's 60 meters. Liu recorded the time at the Jack Johnson Classic on 1/30.
Bethel senior Grant Nelson (Minneapolis, Minn. / Providence Academy) ran the fifth-fastest men's 400 time in NCAA Division III this season with a 47.50 at the M City Classic on 12/5/25.
Bethel senior Anna Speratos (Farmington, Minn. / Farmington) ranks seventh in NCAA Division III for the women's throw this season with a toss of 17.25 meters (56' 7.25") at the CSB/SJU Open on 1/30.
Concordia senior Cooper Folkestad (Wadena, Minn. / Wadena-Deer Creek) is tied for sixth in NCAA Division III for the men's shot put this season. His throw of 17.12 meters (56' 2") was recorded at the NDSU Alumni Classic on 12/11/25.
Gustavus senior Molly Liston (Richfield, Minn. / The Blake School) ranks No. 13 in NCAA Division III for the women's 5000 meters with a converted time of 17:03.24 at the Chuck Petersen Open on 12/5/25.
Hamline senior Lexi Brainer (Lakeville, Minn. / Lakeville South) has the fourth-best women's weight throw distance in NCAA Division III this season with a throw of 17.71 meters (58' 1.25") at the Jack Johnson Classic on 1/30.
Macalester sophomore John Ihrke (Northbrook, Ill. / Glenbrook North) has the ninth-fastest men's 800-meter time in Division III this season after crossing the finish line in 1:51.80 at the St. Olaf Invitational on 1/31.
Macalester sophomore Ariella Rogahn-Press (Albuquerque, N.M. / Bosque School) ranks ninth in NCAA Division III in the women's 400 meters with a time of 56.68 at the M City Classic on 12/5/25. She is also No. 11 in the women's 200 meters with a time of 24.77 at the St. Olaf Invitational on 1/31.
St. Olaf senior Ashlyn Jore (Prior Lake, Minn. / Prior Lake) recorded the 14th-best women's long jump in D-III this season.
St. Olaf senior Cullen Moore (Lake Elmo, Minn. / Minnehaha Academy) ran the third-fastest time in D-III for the men's 800 meters this season, clocking in at 1:51.18 at the St. Olaf Invitational on 1/31.
St. Olaf senior Lance Nemecek (Minnetrista, Minn. / Mound Westonka) ranks 13th in Division III for the men's 800 meters with a time of 1:52.42, recorded at the M City Classic on 12/5/25.
St. Olaf senior Kevin Turlington (Rochester, Minn. / Lourdes) ran the eleventh-fastest time in D-III this season in the men's 3000 meters. He finished the race in a converted time of 3:11.80 at the St. Olaf Invitational on 1/31. Turlington also ranks 12th in the men's 5000 meters with a time of 14:26.11, recorded at the M City Classic on 12/5/25.
St. Scholastica senior Trent Beseth (Stanchfield, Minn. / Cambride-Isanti) has the top shot put distance in NCAA Division III this season with a throw of 18.12 meters (59' 5.5") at the CSS Opener on 12/13/25. Beseth is also ninth in D-III in the weight throw after a toss of 18.60 meters (61' 0.25") at the St. Olaf Invitational on 1/31.
St. Scholastica junior Joshua Monreal (Proctor, Minn. / Proctor) ranks No. 12 in NCAA Division III with a distance of 18.48 meters (60' 7.75") in the men's weight throw at the Twin Ports Open on 1/17.
AROUND THE MIAC
Augsburg senior Allison Hookom (Anoka, Minn. / Anoka) set a meet record in the women's 400-meter dash at the Vanessa Seljeskog Classic on 1/24. Hookom won the 400 in a 58.26, clearing the field by seven-tenths of a second. She also recorded an 8.36-second time in the women's 60-meter dash.
Augsburg sophomore Jamir Horton (Roseville, Minn. / Roseville) placed third in the men's 60-meter hurdles at the Jack Johnson Classic on 1/31. Horton finished the race in 9.55.
Bethel senior Grant Nelson (Minneapolis, Minn. / Providence Academy) picked up a pair of event victories at the CSB/SJU Open on 1/30. Nelson won the men's 200 meters in 22.10 and helped the Royals' 4x400 relay team to a win in 3:23.79.
Bethel senior Anna Speratos (Farmington, Minn. / Farmington) won the women's weight throw at the CSB/SJU Open on 1/30 with a toss of 17.25 meters. That distance ranks second in the MIAC and seventh in NCAA Division III this season.
Carleton junior Soren Kaster (Horace, N.D. / West Fargo Sheyenne) placed third overall and second among NCAA Division III competitors in the men's heptathlon with 4,606 points at the M City Classic on 12/5/25. Kaster's score was the third-best in program history and ranks 23rd in D-III this season. He clocked times of 7.44 in the 60-meter dash, 9.03 in the 60-meter hurdles, and 2:53.49 in the 1000-meter run; measured 10.09 meters in the shot put and a personal-best 6.31 meters in the long jump; and cleared 1.70 meters in the high jump and 4.35 meters in the pole vault.
Carleton first-year Lauren Tittel (Sherwood, Ore. / Oregon Episcopal School) was the runner-up in the women's 3000-meter at the Mark Schuck Open on 1/30. Tittle crossed the line at 9:58.45, which is tops in the MIAC this season by more than 15 seconds. She ranks No. 21 in the event on the NCAA Division III Performance List and moved into the No. 10 spot in program history.
Concordia sophomore Brayden Carlson ran the men's 400 meters in a personal-best time of 49.98 at the NDSU Alumni Classic on 12/11/25. His adjusted time of 49.20 in the event remains a top 50 time in NCAA Division III this season. Carlson also set a PR in the 60 meters, clocking in at 7.36 in his first meet of the season.
Concordia junior Abby Lovelace (Fargo, N.D. / Fargo North) posted the 20th-highest women's pentathlon score in NCAA Division III this season with a total of 3,164 points at the NDSU Alumni Classic on 12/11/25. Lovelace recorded collegiate bests in the shot put (10.84m), long jump (4.93), and 60-hurdles (9.78).
Gustavus senior Molly Liston (Richfield, Minn. / The Blake School) broke the meet record and her own personal record in the women's 3000-meter run at the Vanessa Seljeskog Classic on 1/24. Liston's time of 10:16.66 crushed the previous record (10:45.21) by 30 seconds.
Gustavus senior Connor McCormick (Stillwater, Minn. / Stillwater) won the men's heptathlon at the St. Olaf Invitational on 1/31 with a score of 4590. McCormick finished first in the high jump (1.86 meters / 6' 1.25"), surpassing his previous personal best three times en route to the top height, and 60-meter hurdles (8.77). His shot put of 9.78 meters (32' 1") also represents a new personal best.
Hamline senior Lexi Brainer (Lakeville, Minn. / Lakeville South) broke the all-time MIAC record in the women's weight throw with a distance of 17.71 meters (58' 1.25") at the Jack Johnson Classic on 1/30. The previous conference record of 17.66 meters had stood for over a quarter of a century. Brainer's distance ranks fourth in NCAA Division III this season.
Hamline sophomore Isaiah Watson (Fridley, Minn.) won the men's triple jump at the Vanessa Seljeskog Classic on 1/24, leaping almost a full meter further than the next closest competitor. Watson's mark of 14.30 meters set a new meet record and ranks 25th in NCAA Division III this season.
Macalester sophomore John Ihrke (Northbrook, Ill. / Glenbrook North) was the runner-up in the men's 800 meters at the St. Olaf Invitational on 1/31. Ihrke clocked in at 1:53.39. That time ranks second in the MIAC and ninth in NCAA Division III this season.
Macalester sophomore Ariella Rogahn-Press (Albuquerque, N.M. / Bosque School) won the women's 200 meters at the St. Olaf Invitational & Multi with a time of 25.15. Her converted time of 24.77 ranks No. 11 in NCAA Division III this season. Rogahn-Press also helped the Scots place third in the women's 4x200-meter relay with a time of 1:47.97.
Saint Benedict first-year Juslene Chea (St. Michael, Minn. / STMA) set a program record in the women's 60-meter hurdles with a time of 9.11 at the CSB/SJU Open on 1/30. Chea's time broke the previous program mark by 0.01 and ranks 39th in NCAA Division III this season.
St. Catherine first-year Eleanor Lindeman (St. Louis Park, Minn. / St. Louis Park) set a new PR in the women's 3000-meter run with a time of 10:45.21 at the Vanessa Seljeskog Classic on 1/24. A week later, Lindeman set another personal best, this time in the women's 5000-meter run with a time of 18:40.38, good for a runner-up finish at the Mark Schuck Open and Multi on 1/31.
Saint John's junior Cole Stencel (Mapleton, Minn. / Maple River) won the men's 1000 meters at the CSB/SJU Open on 1/30, finishing the race in 2:32.90. Stencel was the first of four Johnnies to finish in the top five of the 1K race.
Saint Mary's sophomore Ryan Cramer (Elk River, Minn. / Elk River) set a personal-best time in the men's 60-meter dash, finishing in third place overall at the Pat Healy Classic on 1/24 with a time of 6.90. Cramer shaved 0.05 seconds off between prelims and finals, and finished 0.08 seconds faster than his event-winning time of 6.98 at the Twin Ports Open a week earlier on 1/17.
Saint Mary's senior Samantha Munson (Plain City, Utah / St. Joseph) broke a 20-year old program record in the women's 200-meter at the Pat Healy Classic on 1/24. Munson clocked in at 25.99, eclipsing the previous mark of 26.28 set in 2006. Munson also competed in the women's 60-meter dash, finishing that race in eight seconds flat.
St. Olaf senior Cullen Moore (Lake Elmo, Minn. / Minnehaha Academy) ran the third-fastest men's 800-meter time in NCAA Division III this season, winning the event in 1:52.77 at the St. Olaf Invitational & Multi on 1/31. Moore's time was less than four-tenths of a second off the program record and is the fastest in the MIAC this season. Moore also ran on the Oles' men's 4x400-meter relay that won in 3:23.55.
St. Olaf senior Ashlyn Jore (Prior Lake, Minn. / Prior Lake) broke a four-decades-old school record in the long jump with a winning mark of 5.63 meters (18' 5.75") at the Ole Opener on 1/17. Jore was also one one-hundredth of a second off the program's 60-meter record with a first-place time of 8.04 in finals.
St. Scholastica senior Trent Beseth (Stanchfield, Minn. / Cambridge-Isanti) swept the men's throwing competitions at the St. Olaf Invitational & Multi on 1/31. Beseth set a program record with a weight throw of 18.60 meters (61' 0.25"), good for the ninth-best distance in NCAA Division III this season. Beseth also won the men's shot put with a throw of 17.41 meters (57' 1.5"). That distance would rank fourth in D-III this season; Beseth's December distance of 18.12 meters (59' 5.5") remains No. 1 in the country.
St. Scholastica senior Ella Stritesky (Rogers, Minn. / Rogers) won the weight throw with a mark of 16.54 meters (54' 3.25") at the CSB/SJU Alumni Meet on 124. That mark is the fourth-best in CSS program history and ranks 16th in NCAA Division III this season.
