Softball 5/28/2026 2:00:00 PM Two from MIAC earn NFCA All-America honors LOUISVILLE, Ky. – A pair of Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (MIAC) softball standouts received All-America honors from the National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) this week. Saint Benedict senior shortstop and MIAC Player of the Year Olivia Tautges was named to the All-America First Team, while Saint Mary’s junior pitcher and utility fielder Makayla Steffes was a Third Team selection. The All-America nod is the third for Steffes and the second for Tautges. Both were Third Team selections in 2024, and Steffes earned First Team honors last spring. Tautges and Steffes were also among 12 MIAC softball players to earn All-Region designation earlier this month. Six of the 13 First Team Region IX selections hailed from the MIAC, including Tautges, Steffes, Saint Mary’s pitcher Kenzie Gatz, Saint Mary’s infielders Peyton Berg and Megan McGinnis, and St. Olaf outfielder Regan Zak.
