The Learfield Directors' Cup was established in 1993 to recognize college athletics' most successful institutions. Points are awarded based on each institution's finish in NCAA Championships. Overall, 18 sports are counted in the NCAA Division III standings. The four baseline sports counted for every institution are men's and women's soccer and men's and women's basketball. The next-highest 14 sports scored for each institution, regardless of gender, are then used to complete the point totals. NCAA Division III institutions have participated in the Learfield Directors' Cup standings since 1995. The 2025-26 academic year marks just the second time in history – and the second time in as many years – that every MIAC institution has been ranked in the Learfield Directors' Cup standings. Four MIAC schools finished among the top 80 in NCAA Division III this season, led by Bethel University at No. 46 (388 points). 2025-26 Learfield Directors' Cup MIAC Institution Standings 46.
