MIAC tennis players honored with ITA academic awards

BLOOMINGTON, Minn. -- The Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) announced its annual academic awards this week and more than 100 student-athletes from the Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (MIAC) were recognized.

The men's and women's teams from Carleton, Gustavus, Macalester, St. Olaf, and St. Scholastica, along with the Hamline and Saint John's men's teams and the Saint Benedict and St. Catherine women's teams, were all named an All-Academic Teams by the ITA. These programs each had a team grade point average of 3.2 or above (on a 4.00 scale)

A total of 122 individuals from the MIAC were also honored as ITA Scholar-Athletes. These student-athletes each recorded a grade point average of at least 3.5 (on a 4.00 scale) for the current academic year.
