BLOOMINGTON, Minn. -- The Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (MIAC) announced its Athlete of the Week award winners for indoor track & field on Tuesday. Student-athletes from Concordia and St. Scholastica claimed the Conference's weekly honors.
The MIAC Athlete of the Week awards are nominated by the Conference's sports information directors and selected by MIAC staff. Throughout the winter season, team sports (basketball and hockey) Athletes of the Week will be recognized on Monday afternoons, with individual sports (swimming & diving and indoor track & field) announced on Tuesday afternoons. The winners of the latest Athlete of the Week awards are listed below, along with details on their outstanding performances.

MIAC Men's Indoor Track Athlete of the Week
Noah Kubicek

Owatonna, Minn.
Noah Kubicek was victorious in a pair of events to begin the indoor season at the CSS Opener on 12/14. He won the 400 meters with a time of 49.98 and anchored the Saints’ 4x400 relay team that won in 3:28.69. Kubicek’s 400 time ranks 22nd in NCAA Division III this season, while the 4x400 time is 17th in D-III.

Trent Beseth won both the shot put and weight throw events at the CSS Opener on 12/14. His shot put distance of 16.66 meters (54’ 8”) is the best throw in NCAA Division III this season, while his weight throw of 17.34 meters (56’ 10.75”) is 12th in the country.
MIAC Women's Indoor Track Athlete of the Week
Emily Rengo
Concordia College

Esko, Minn.
Emily Rengo tied the Cobbers’ program record in the 60-meter dash at the NDSU Dakota Classic on 12/13 with a time of 7.95 seconds. Rengo also ran the 200 meters in 26.34, good for the 29th-fastest time in NCAA Division III this season.

Piper Osborne

Foley, Minn.
Piper Osborne recorded a triple jump distance of 10.96 meters (35’ 11.5”) at the NDSU Dakota Classic on 12/13. That distance ranks 23rd in NCAA Division III this season. Osborne also ran the 60-meter dash in 8.21 at the meet.
