SALT LAKE CITY – The Division III Commissioners Association (DIIICA) recently celebrated Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (MIAC) Commissioner Dan McKane in recognition of 20 years of service, leadership, and impact on NCAA Division III at its Fall Meeting in Salt Lake City, Utah.
“Recognizing the contributions of long-serving commissioners … reminds us of the deep commitment and leadership that drives Division III forward. I look forward to continuing our work to support our student-athletes and the broader DIII community,” said Keri Alexander Luchowski, Executive Director of the North Coast Athletic Conference and current DIIICA President.
McKane has served in his current role for the MIAC since 2005. A former student-athlete and coach at Gustavus Adolphus College, McKane has led numerous strategic initiatives within the MIAC and nationally, including serving as President of DIIICA. His leadership has emphasized student-athlete well-being, sportsmanship, and innovation across the conference and Division III.
The DIIICA also recognized Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Commissioner Joe Walsh for his 20 years of service in his current position, as well as Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SCIAC) Commissioner Jenn Dubow for her impactful two-and-a-half-year tenure as DIIICA President during the Association’s annual Fall Meeting in September.
