Gustavus wins 2025 MIAC Men's Swimming & Diving Championship

MINNEAPOLIS – For the 27th time in program history and the sixth time in as many seasons, the Golden Gusties are Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (MIAC) men's swimming & diving champions. Gustavus Adolphus College scored 879 points over the four-day conference meet to win the men's title at the Jean K. Freeman Aquatic Center on the campus of the University of Minnesota.

Saint John's Brayden Slavik opened the meet by setting the MIAC meet and overall record in the 1650 Free with a time of 15:32.98. Other individual champions included Macalester's Kean Pajarillaga (200 Back, 1:53.77), Saint John's Carter Larson (100 Free, 45.50), Gustavus' Nyden Hill (200 Breast, 2:04.30), and Gustavus' Peyton Richardson (200 Fly, 1:51.87). Saint John's closed out the meet with a victory in the 400 freestyle relay (3:03.22).

HANDING OUT THE HARDWARE
Following each of Saturday evening's competitions, a short awards ceremony was held to recognize the top eight finishers. The top three finishers in each event earned All-Conference honors, while individual finishers 4-6 and the fourth-place relay team earned honorable mention distinction.

The 2024-25 individual award recipients were also announced.
