MIAC Multi-Event Championships begin on Thursday

BLOOMINGTON, Minn. - The 2025 Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (MIAC) Outdoor Track & Field Championships are set to get underway on Thursday with the start of the decathlon and heptathlon events at Carleton College.

MULTI-EVENT CHAMPIONSHIPS
The MIAC Multis kick off two consecutive weekends of conference championship competition for men's and women's track & field teams. MIAC men's competitors will participate in the 100-meter dash, long jump, shot put, high jump, and 400-meter dash on Thursday afternoon, beginning at 12:00 p.m. Women's multi-event athletes will compete in the 100-meter hurdles, high jump, shot put, and 200-meter dash, beginning at 12:45 p.m.

The Multi-Event Championships will conclude on Friday, May 2, with action resuming at 10:30 a.m.

The meet record for the women's heptathlon is 5,132 points, set by former Carleton standout Amelia Campbell at the 2014 MIAC Championships, while former St. Thomas competitor Erik Rosenkranz's record of 7,198 points has stood since the 1995 MIAC Championships.

OUTDOOR TRACK & FIELD CHAMPIONSHIPS
The individual and relay events of the 2025 MIAC Outdoor Track & Field Championships will begin next Friday, May 9, and conclude next Saturday, May 10, on the campus of Macalester College. The full schedule of events for next week's Outdoor Championships can be found here.
