ST. PAUL, Minn. – In one of the tightest finishes in Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (MIAC) track & field history, the Bethel Royals topped the Saint John's Johnnies by half a point in the standings to claim a second consecutive conference championship in men's outdoor track & field.
Bethel scored 207 points, narrowly edging out Saint John's in second with 206.5. St. Olaf finished third with 116, followed by Concordia (89.5), Gustavus (53), St. Scholastica (49), Carleton (47), Hamline (40), Macalester (37), Saint Mary's (8), and Augsburg (5).

The Johnnies set a meet record in the 4x100-meter relay with a time of 40.29, while Hamline's Isaiah Watson set a new meet mark in the men's triple jump with a leap of 14.81 meters. Bethel's Grant Nelson and Jacob Parent finished 1-2 in the 400-meter dash. Nelson finished in 46.20 with Parent just behind at 46.33. Both times surpassed the previous meet record, and the pair now sit at first and second in the nation for the event.
