Tennis 5/8/2025 2:00:00 PM Six MIAC tennis players receive individual NCAA Championship invites BLOOMINGTON, Minn. -- Six tennis players from the Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (MIAC) have been selected to compete in the 2025 NCAA Division III Men's and Women's Tennis Individual Championships, the Association announced on Wednesday. Gustavus first-year Karina Elvestrom and St. Catherine graduate student Kelsey Dorr were among 32 players selected for the Women's Singles Championships, while Elvestrom and doubles partner Kaya DeBruijn were one of the 16 duos picked for the Women's Doubles Championships. On the men's side defending doubles national champions Gage Gohl and Tyler Haddorff of Gustavus will have the opportunity to defend their crown at the Men's Doubles Championships, while Gohl and another Gustie teammate, Marco Siviero, were selected for the Men's Singles Championships. The selection of teams and individuals for the NCAA Championships is based on won-lost record, strength of schedule and eligibility and availability of student-athletes. The individual championships will be held May 24-27 at Biszantz Family Tennis Center in Claremont, California. Claremont McKenna Mudd Scripps Colleges will host. The individual championships follow the team championships, which are scheduled for May 20-23 at the same venue. The MIAC will be represented at the team championships both the MIAC champion Gustavus men's and women's tennis teams. The Gustie women's team begins its quest for a national title at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, May 9 in Chicago against Hope, while the Gustie men's squad will take on either UW-Whitewater or Luther at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, May 10 in Whitewater, Wisconsin. | Men's Championship Selections | Women's Championship Selections |
