KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) has recognized six men's basketball teams from the Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (MIAC) and 30 student-athletes from the league for excellence in the classroom.

Among the institutions honored with Team Academic Excellence awards were Augsburg University, Carleton College, Concordia College, Hamline University, Saint John's University, and St. Olaf College. Team Academic Excellence Awards honor outstanding academic achievement by a team with a cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 3.0 or better during the 2024-25 season. In order to earn the NABC Team Academic Excellence Award, institutions in the NCAA, NAIA, and NJCAA must count the GPA of all men's student-athletes who competed during the 2024-25 season.

The NABC also recognized 30 men's basketball student-athletes from the MIAC with Honors Court distinction. Established in 2007, the NABC Honors Court spotlights outstanding academic achievement by basketball student-athletes with a cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 3.2 or higher after each academic year. Student-athletes must be academically a junior or senior varsity player and have matriculated at least one year at their current NCAA Division I, II, III, or NAIA institution.
