Men's Golf 7/30/2025 1:00:00 PM MIAC men's golfers earn academic honors NORMAN, Okla. -- Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (MIAC) men’s golfers received academic honors from the Golf Coaches Association of America (GCAA) this week. A total of 205 NCAA Division III athletes from 78 schools earned 2024-25 Cobalt Golf All-America Scholar honors, including 13 from the MIAC. To be eligible for GCAA All-America Scholar nomination, an individual must be a sophomore, junior or senior both academically and athletically in NCAA Division I, II, III, and NAIA, or receiving their Associate’s Degree and in their last year of athletic eligibility in the NJCAA. In addition, they must participate in 50 percent of their team’s competitive rounds, have a stroke average under 76.0 in NCAA Division I, under 78.0 in NCAA Division II, under 79.0 in NCAA Division III, under 78.0 in NAIA, and under 77.0 in NJCAA, and maintain a minimum cumulative career grade-point average of 3.2. A recipient must also be of high moral character and be in good standing at their college or university. The GCAA has also announces its PLATFORM Golf Team Academic Award recipients. Carleton College, Gustavus Adolphus College, and Saint John's University were among the 292 collegiate men's golf programs to post a team GPA of 3.0 or better during the 2024-25 academic year. Carleton was also one of 129 programs to receive the Presidents Special Recognition with a team GPA greater than 3.5.
