MIAC swimmers selected for NCAA championships, divers set for regionals

INDIANAPOLIS – Three swimmers from the Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (MIAC) have been selected to compete at the 2026 NCAA Division III Swimming & Diving Championships.
 
Saint Benedict junior Haley Zelen was selected for nationals in the women's 50 freestyle (23.07), 100 freestyle (50.79), and 100 butterfly (54.10), while Saint John's senior Brayden Slavik qualified in the men's 1,650 freestyle (15:32.16), and Gustavus junior Braden Ripken made the cut in the men's 100 breaststroke (53.76).

Twelve MIAC divers also qualified for this weekend's NCAA Central Regional in Kalamazoo, Michigan, including Carleton's Nina Schwab and Haley Westrup, Gustavus' Gabriella Stoudt, Macalester's Ainsley Kashatus, and St. Olaf's Savannah Carr, Emma Haines, Zibby Hanifl, Eric Johnson, and Alayna McCormick in the women's events, along with Carleton's Hans Anderson, Hamline's Kevin Bossou, Saint John's Cody Watts in the men's events.
 
Select divers from the four NCAA regionals on February 27-28 will advance to the 2026 NCAA Division III Swimming & Diving Championships.
 
The 2026 NCAA Division III Swimming & Diving Championships will be held March 18-21 at the IU Natatorium in Indianapolis, Indiana. Franklin College, the Indiana Sports Corporation, and the IU Natatorium will serve as hosts.
 
The complete list of all swimmers competing in the championships is available online at ncaa.org. Selected divers will be added to the website on Monday, March 2.
