Concordia wins MIAC Women’s Indoor Track & Field title

NORTHFIELD, Minn. -- For the fourth time in program history, and the first time since 1999, the Concordia Cobbers are women's indoor track & field champions of the Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (MIAC).
 
The Cobbers collected 144 points over the three-day conference meet, finishing with an eight-point margin of victory at the 2026 MIAC Indoor Track & Field Championships.
 
The MIAC extends its gratitude to the coaches and staff at Carleton College for their outstanding efforts in hosting the 2026 MIAC Indoor Track & Field Championships.

RECORD BREAKERS
-Macalester sophomore Ariella Rogahn-Press broke the championship and facility marks in the women's 400 meters with a time of 55.79.
Saint Mary's sophomore Zari Young set new championship and facility records in the women's 55 meters with a time of 7.11 in prelims. Young ran a 7.14 in finals.
-Bethel sophomore Shalom Sulungaine broke the facility record in the women's 600 meters with a time of 1:34.61.
-Gustavus senior Molly Liston broke the facility record in the women's 5K with a time of 17:13.28.
-St. Olaf senior Isabel Wyatt set a new facility record in the women's 800 meters with a time of 2.13.96.
-Bethel's 4x400 relay squad broke the championship and facility records in the event with a winning time of 3:18.48.
-The St. Olaf 4x200 relay team set a new facility record in the event with a time of 1:43.42.

AWARDS
The top three finishers in each event automatically earn All-Conference honors, and the 4th-through-6th place finishers receive Honorable Mention distinction. Individual awards will be voted on by coaches following the meet and will be announced next week.

NCAA CHAMPIONSHIPS
The 2026 NCAA Division III Championships are scheduled for March 13-14, 2026, at the Birmingham CrossPlex in Birmingham, Alabama. Qualifiers will be announced on March 8 on NCAA.com.
