BLOOMINGTON, Minn. – For the second year in a row, the Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (MIAC) Women's Tennis Playoffs will run through St. Peter, as Gustavus locked up a second straight regular-season title and the top seed in the conference tournament.
The Gusties (10-0) earned their 32nd regular-season MIAC women's tennis title over the weekend, along with a bye to the semifinal round of the Playoffs. Regular season runner-up Carleton (9-1) will also receive a bye to the semifinals as the No. 2 seed in the field.

The 2026 MIAC Women's Tennis Playoffs will begin on Tuesday, April 28, when No. 3 Bethel (8-2) hosts No. 6 Hamline (4-6) and No. 4 St. Catherine (7-3) welcomes No. 5 Macalester (5-5). The Scots and Wildcats will square off at 3:30 PM, with the Royals and Pipers meeting at 4:00 PM.
The top-seeded Gusties will welcome the lowest remaining seed to St. Peter on Thursday, April 30, while No. 2 Carleton will host the higher seed in Northfield that afternoon. Both semifinal matches are tentatively set for 3:30 p.m. starts.
The playoff championship match is tentatively scheduled for 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 2, on the home court of the top remaining seed. However, in the event of a men's and women's championship doubleheader held at the same venue, the women's championship will be played at 11:30 a.m., followed by the men's championship at 3:30 p.m. All match dates, times, and locations are subject to change due to weather.
The tournament victor will receive the MIAC Playoff championship plaque and the Conference's automatic bid to the 2026 NCAA Division III Women's Tennis Tournament. Defending playoff champion Gustavus has won a MIAC-best nine playoff championships since 2007. Carleton is not far off the pace with seven playoff titles overall, while St. Thomas snagged title wins in 2015 and 2021.

The online MIAC Shop features officially licensed short-sleeve t-shirts, long-sleeves, and hooded sweatshirts to commemorate the 2026 playoff tournament. Regular-season team champion gear is also available, with playoff team champion apparel set to be added shortly after the championship match.
