BLOOMINGTON, Minn. – The NCAA announced its championship qualifiers for men's and women's tennis and men's golf on Monday. Four Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (MIAC) teams earned national championship selections.
Men's Tennis
MIAC men's tennis champion Gustavus (19-9) is headed to Chicago this weekend to take on UMAC champion Greenville (20-6) in the opening round of the 2026 NCAA Division III Men's Tennis Championships. The University of Chicago will host the six-team regional, with the Gusties set for action at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 7. With a win, Gustavus would face the host Maroons (18-3) in the second round at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, May 8. The regional championship is slated for Saturday, May 9, at noon. The University of the South will host the team championships finals from May 19-22 at Champions Tennis Club in Chattanooga, Tennessee. Student-athletes selected to play in the individual championships will be announced on Wednesday, May 6.

Women's Tennis
The MIAC women's tennis champion Gusties (29-5) were selected to host regional play in the opening rounds of the 2026 NCAA Division III Women's Tennis Championships. Gustavus received a bye to the second round, where the Gusties will take on either UW-La Crosse (20-2) or UW-Superior (19-7) at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 9. The regional championship is scheduled for noon on Sunday. The University of the South will host the team championships finals from May 18-22 at the Champions Tennis Club in Chattanooga, Tennessee. Student-athletes selected to participate in the individual championships will be announced on Wednesday, May 6.

Men's Golf
A pair of MIAC men's golf teams have been selected to participate in the 2026 NCAA Division III Men's Golf Championships on May 12-15 at Mission Resort & Club in Howey-in-the-Hills, Florida. MIAC champion Bethel was one of 34 automatic qualifiers to the 43-team field, while Gustavus received one of nine at-large bids. Ten individual competitors were also selected from the remaining players who did not qualify with a team, for a total of 225 players.
Oglethorpe University and the Greater Orlando Sports Commission will host the 2026 Championships. The team and individual champions will be determined after 72 holes of play or the conclusion of the last fully completed round. First and second round competition will be played simultaneously on El Campeon and Las Colinas courses, with the final two rounds played on El Campeon. After 36 holes of competition, the field will be cut to the top 18 teams and the top six individuals not on one of those teams.
