MIAC Athletes of the Week - September 15, 2026

FARMINGTON, Minn. -- The Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (MIAC) announced its Athlete of the Week award winners for golf on Tuesday. Student-athletes from Bethel and Concordia claimed the Conference's weekly honors.
 
The MIAC Athlete of the Week awards are nominated by the Conference's sports information directors and selected by MIAC staff. Throughout the fall season, team sports (football, soccer, and volleyball) Athletes of the Week will be recognized on Monday afternoons, with individual sports (cross country and golf) announced on Tuesday afternoons. The winners of the latest Athlete of the Week awards are listed below, along with details on their outstanding performances.

MIAC Men's Golf Athlete of the Week

Tyler Hoppe carded rounds of 74 and 73 to finish the Wrigglesworth Blugold Invitational with a 5-over-par total of 147 on 9/13-14. Hoppe shot for par on 25 holes on the Eau Claire Golf & Country Club course, tied for the second-most in the 124-player field. His score tied him for ninth place in his first collegiate tournament.

Sander Ohe tied for ninth place at the Wrigglesworth Blugold Invitational on 9/13-14 with a two-round score of 147 (72-75, +5) while competing in his first collegiate tournament. Ohe had eight birdies over the two-day meet, tied for the most among the 124 competitors. Ohe was also the only golfer in the field to shoot under par on par-3 holes.

Zoe Keene broke the Cobbers' 36-hole scoring record for a second consecutive week with a two-round total of 142 (70-72, -2) to earn medalist honors at the D3 Classic on 9/12-13. Keene recorded 25 pars and five birdies at Emerald Greens Golf Course to finish the tournament with a five-shot margin of victory on the individual leaderboard. Her weekend score is tied for the fifth-lowest 36-hole score in recorded MIAC women's golf history, and is tied for the lowest 36-hole score ever by a first-year MIAC women's golfer.
