Swimming & Diving 11/26/2025 1:30:00 PM Seven with MIAC ties named to CSCAA Hall of Fame Class of 2026 | CSCAA Release | BLOOMINGTON, Minn. – The 2026 College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) Division III Hall of Fame Class will feature seven alumni from the Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (MIAC), the organization announced on Tuesday. Three former MIAC coaches and four former student-athletes from conference programs comprise an impressive one-third of the latest Hall of Fame class. Among the coaches being inducted into the CSCAA Hall of Fame are former Carleton head coach Peggy Carl (1983-90), former Hamline head coach Marty Knight (1973-90), and former Macalester head coach Bob Pearson (1985-11). Four former Hamline Pipers with national championships on their resumes are also being inducted, including Carrie Hefte (1978-81), Kate Lundsten (1979-82), Beth Peterson (1981-83), and Susan Brings (1982-85). Pearson was also an All-MIAC swimmer at Hamline in the mid-1980s, while Peterson and Brings were among the first MIAC athletes in women’s sports to win individual national championships, in addition to the three consecutive team titles the Pipers won in the Association for Intercollegiate Athletics for Women (AIAW) from 1980-82. The 2026 CSCAA Hall of Fame induction ceremony will take place on May 4, 2026, at Joe’s Live in Rosemont, Illinois, during the CSCAA Annual Awards Celebration, hosted at the Loews Chicago. | CSCAA Release |
