MIAC teams, student-athletes earn CSCAA Scholar All-America honors

BLOOMINGTON, Minn. -- The College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) has announced its annual Scholar All-America Team and Individual recipients for the 2024-25 academic year.

A total of 763 teams and more than 18,000 athletes were celebrated for their excellence in the classroom. Scholar All-America Teams were selected on the basis of their Spring 2025 grade point averages. Thirteen MIAC teams earned the distinction this season, including both men's and women's teams from Carleton, Gustavus, Hamline, Macalester, and St. Olaf as well as the Saint Benedict and St. Catherine women's teams.

The CSCAA also recognized students who achieved a grade point average of 3.50 or higher and were invited to compete at their respective national championship, as Scholar All-America Individuals. The list included ten from the MIAC. On the men's side, Carleton's Hans Anderson, Gustavus' Braden Ripken, and Saint John's Cody Watts were First Teamers while Gustavus' Peyton Richardson was a Second Team honoree. Six women from the MIAC were recognized, with Carleton's Hailey Westrup on the First Team, and Carleton's Nina Schwab, Gustavus' Gabrielle Stoudt, Macalester's Verity Wray-Raabolle, and St. Olaf's Olivia Small and Paige Steenblock on the Second Team.
